‘Heaven’ is the latest single from the Ontario-based project, Falcon Jane. Slow, atmospheric beats provide the perfect accompaniment for Sara May’s unique vocal, with a dark, almost choral chorus making acting as the song’s highlight. Her lyrics are both centred on the love of the natural world and her partner, as well as a poignant musing on afterlife. She explains that “as I continue to question my faith, I find that I believe much more in a heaven that exists here on Earth. I have felt peace, light, and love when I am alive and out in nature with no one else around.” Along with the track, Falcon Jane put together a video full of colour and incredible shots of the nature of Ontario. -Dan Peeke
